2017 Homecoming Court Guidelines


Individuals who wish to be considered for the 2017 Homecoming Court should review the requirements of candidates outlined below.


Candidates must:

  • currently have a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher and no “F” grades
  • be in good standing at GHS, with no suspensions from this school year
  • not have any referrals from this year or academic delinquencies
  • have the approval signature by an administrator
  • receive TWO faculty/staff signatures from current or previous GHS teachers
  • have a parent/guardian signature
  • complete the pledge of responsibility
  • attend the Fall Rally, Football Game, & Homecoming Dance
Applications with all requested information and signatures must be turned in to Mrs. Aparicio in the ASB room no later than 3:00pm on Friday, September 22, 2017 (NO EXCEPTIONS)

No applications will be considered if they are not hand delivered to Mrs. Aparicio by the due date.


Important Dates:

9/22    Deadline for homecoming court application/paperwork by 3pm in the ASB room.

9/27    Selected students will be voted on by their peers electronically through Naviance account until midnight. Top 4 Senior females & Senior males, and one top female Junior, Sophomore, Freshman and one top Junior, Sophomore, Freshman male will be revealed during morning announcements on 9/28.

10/13  All members of court will be introduced during the Homecoming Football game at halftime. Homecoming Queen and King are students who received the most votes from the Senior class. The queen is crowned during the halftime of the football game on Friday, October 13th and the king is announced at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 14th.


*If you are selected to be on court, you may not participate on Prom Court.
