Mr. Suess's Bio

Mr. Suess has been teaching at Gabrielino High School since 1996.

He has had an interest in creativity, imagination, and art for as long as he can remember. His art career began with taking art classes at Temple City High School. Two years of art at Pasadena City College provided him the time to build an art portfolio while researching and exploring different art schools. He eventually attended the California Institute of the  Arts on a Disney Scholarship and received his Bachelor of Fine Art (BFA) degree in 1987.

In 1992 Mr. Suess was awarded a Master of Fine Art (MFA) degree from Claremont University.

Mr. Suess likes to spend his time comparing and contrasting Modernism, Post-Modernism, and Meta-Modernism. "When you pursue the arts you never get bored."

Mr. Suess feels very blessed to be working at Gabrielino High School where the students are hungry to learn and challenge him to raise the bar every year.
