2023-2024 Gabrielino Drawing and Painting students connected with Coolidge Elementry students to do a collaborative art project with a focus on Empathy.
Syrian Refugee Portraits
Drawing and Painting students worked with an organization called Memory Project and created portraits of refugee students from Syria. The portraits were mailed to the students. Memory Project is going to send us a video of the Syrian students receiving their art.
During the 2022-2023 school year, the Drawing and Painting students joined with the Advanced Art students in a Mail Art Exchange with the students of School 67 in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. Go to the links tab to share our experience.
